I helped launch WWF’s ‘Landscape Finance Lab’ – a digital platform to mobilise volunteer landscape experts, via external partnerships, into WWF teams structuring innovative landscape investment deals.
I worked closely with the Lab’s founder to transform its core income model, to reduce reliance on grants and one-off awards. My focus was on achieving a sustainable social enterprise with products and services aligned to a central cost recovery pricing model.
I identified key points in the Lab’s consultancy service where consultancy input could be replaced by pro bono advice from the Lab’s growing online, voluntary community. This was a big cultural shift, but one which carried the biggest opportunity for scale.
I designed a service blueprint and central process for the Lab’s support package, aligning all inputs of expertise to an ‘incubator’ development model. This ensured clarity externally over the service offering, plus internal consistency with service delivery.
